A Home Care Package is a government funded service to support Australian citizens aged 65 and over, to continue to live at home and in the community independently, safely, and confidently.

These are the common steps to acquiring a Home Care Package.
Step 1
Home Care Packages are means assessed. The first thing you need to do to do is contact My Aged Care who will assess whether the person you care for is eligible. My Aged Care is a government free service, that helps older people and their carers to navigate the aged care system.
